CLUBS & FORUMS
All manufactured Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 have a vehicle identification number aka VIN that is specific for every vehicle. The VIN consists of 17 characters in a combination of letters and numbers that provide specific information about the vehicle. The most important numbers are the last 8 digits i.e. 5X051918, as it gives us the model year and the sequence number. Press on the VIN code breakdown table in the column to the right for further decoding information.
The VIN on a Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 can be found on three different places on the car. First, and maybe the easiest way to get the VIN, is the location beneath the left front corner of the instrument panel, visible through the windshield. Second location where it is to be found is on a sticker in the door. However, this sticker can easily be manipulated and/or removed. Third and last place, is in the engine bay located on the firewall between cockpit and engine. Look closely behind the throttlebody and you will find it.
Want to know the real birthday of your SRT-6? If you take a closer look at the SRT-6 VIN sticker located in door, note the following letters "MDH:XXXXXX". This is short for Month/Date/Hour and indicates when your Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 was first rolled out of assembly plant in Osnabrück, Germany.
